Welcome to Herand’s Kitchen, a casual persian and Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of Houston - The Heights.

Herand’s Kitchen is anything but ordinary! We offer counter service with a twist, where you get front-row seats to the action in our fully open, stainless steel kitchen. Nothing behind closed doors!

Every dish is prepared fresh daily, and cooked to order with the finest ingredients and the utmost care. Watch as Chef and owner Herand and his team prepare your meal right before your eyes. The Chef

Herand’s journey has been one of courage and transformation. After spending decades working in various industries, Herand left his home in London, England and moved to Los Angeles, California to open his first restaurant in 2021. His popularity quickly grew as he rose through the ranks to become one of the highest rated restaurants in Glendale, California.

But in 2024, he made a bold decision to move to Houston to be closer to family and start fresh, turning a historic post office building in the Heights into a bright, welcoming space for people to enjoy the flavors of Persian-Mediterranean cuisine.

His journey was featured in the Houston Chronicle, and is a testament to resilience, courage, and the belief that dreams are never out of reach! Herand's story reminds us all that it’s never too late to chase your dreams. Whether it’s starting over, taking risks, or following a passion, there’s no “right” time, only the courage to begin!

"Through my cooking, I aim to preserve and celebrate the flavors and traditions of my Armenian heritage while weaving in the rich cultural influences of my life. From the Persian spices of my birthplace in Iran to the Armenian traditions of my family, Herand’s Kitchen is a reflection of my personal journey".
